Air Liquide reinforces its presence in the Netherlands
Air Liquide acquires Hatek, a leading wholesaler of welding technology and services, to expand its
distribution network in the Netherlands, and enhance proximity with its customers, particularly in the
packaged gas market.
As a result of the acquisition, Hatek becomes an Air Liquide company and will continue to provide
products and services to its welding customers.
Hatek brings 50 years of welding expertise, customer proximity, and a strong local distribution network.
Hatek is present in Zuid-Holland (Wateringen, near Rotterdam) and Noord-Holland (Zwaag, near
Amsterdam), and employs 27 professionals. Through its welding academy, technology and services,
Hatek is a trusted partner of the manufacturing companies in the region.
Air Liquide, as a world leader in industrial gases, offers the region a variety of gases, products and
services, a solid industrial supply chain and innovative technologies such as Qlixbi, the smart gas cylinder,
developed by welders for welders. Thanks to this acquisition, Air Liquide continues to develop its growth
in the Netherlands in the packaged gas business and confirms its commitment to the Dutch market,
developing the best-in-class service: efficient, simple and fast with strong expertise and proximity to the
customers in the region.
